Arpyl is developing next-generation insulated metal panels designed to exceed the performance limits of existing systems used in industry and new-build housing.

Using a novel vacuum-welded construction method, these panels are engineered to deliver significantly improved thermal insulation, structural strength, and durability compared to conventional insulated panels. By reducing thermal bridging and improving core performance, the system aims to support higher energy efficiency standards without increasing wall or roof thickness.

The technology is designed with modern methods of construction (MMC) in mind, enabling faster installation, reduced material use, and improved consistency at scale. Target applications include industrial buildings, commercial developments, and energy-efficient residential construction, where insulation performance, robustness, and build speed are critical.

Blue-Green Roofing Systems

Arpyl is developing an innovative blue-green roof system for commercial and new-build housing that improves environmental performance while remaining practical and affordable.

The system is designed to enhance thermal insulation, significantly improve rainwater retention, and reduce stormwater runoff, helping to mitigate localised flooding and urban heat effects. By integrating lightweight construction with nature-based solutions, the roof supports biodiversity while lowering maintenance requirements compared to traditional green roofs.

Arpyl’s blue-green roofing approach is focused on real-world adoption, particularly within social, affordable, and mainstream housing. The system is engineered to meet structural load requirements, reduce energy demand within buildings, and contribute to more resilient urban infrastructure.

Titanium Roof Edging & Waterproofing Systems

Arpyl is developing a titanium-based waterproof edging and taper system as a modern alternative to traditional lead flashing.

Designed for use at roof edges, junctions, and penetrations, the system provides long-term waterproofing, durability, and corrosion resistance, while eliminating many of the environmental and security issues associated with lead. Titanium offers exceptional longevity and performance in harsh conditions, making it well suited to both residential and commercial roofing applications.

The edging system is being developed for ease of installation and compatibility with existing roofing practices, allowing it to be adopted as a direct replacement for conventional flashing solutions. This innovation supports safer, more sustainable construction while delivering a premium, long-life detailing solution.
